A found footage horror podcast by the production company Dead Signals around cities, stories, and sound. It is about Dan Powell, a lone archivist doing work on behalf of New York State, who discovers recordings of an investigation with a high-rise called the Visser building in the mid-1990s for supernatural happenings. The recordings from Powell are also the last words from him to date, as he has been missing for over a year. After launching earlier this Spring, Archive 81 immediately became a favorite with press and fans alike. The program reaches adults 18-34 and delivers 100,000 impressions per episode. Advertising messages are delivered by co-producer Marc Sallinger.

Dan Powell

The co-creator and lead character of Archive 81. He is a sound designer, radio producer, and musician. He also curates Soundsnap's library of sound effects, records and mixes at The Radio Foundation Studio, and is a freelance field recordist for Slate and Panoply.

Marc Sollinger

The co-producer of Archive 81. He is a journalist and documentarian specializing in Radio and Television. He also works as an Associate Producer at Innovation Hub Radio as part of WGBH. Formerly worked at NewsHour and Marketplace.
